A Very Entertaining Game If Given The Chance
Despite the reviews of how poorly the graphics were and how bad the voice cast were I still decided to take the chance with this game and am delighted to have made that choice. While the graphics aren't on par with some other games like FF13 or Heavy Rain the graphics are still very good and incredible to see especially the cut scenes in the game, also while it is true that there are one or two of the voice cast who could work on the acting skills for the most part the cast were very talented in their character roles a lot more than what's to be expected from some peoples points of view. The one and only thing that is somewhat of an annoyance s that the game does come in three disc and while it's not to problematic it's still a little annoying when you have to keep changing disc each time you go from one world to another that is probably the biggest pro that the PS3 version will have on the differences between the two(Plus the added Japanese voice cast track of course). The fighting game style reminded me a little of another Square Enix game that I recently bough Indefinite UnDiscovery where instead of being turn based combat you can control you characters during combat which I truly enjoyed with this game. So for RPG fans an the like is the game worth getting?, I'd advise trying a demo if you can find it first to see if it's one you truly like that's all I think anyone can say because almost everyone's going to have their own opinion on their experience with the game but it's ultimately going to be up to the person who's playing the game itself to see if it's truly enjoyable for them....

I just couldn't finish the game it got boring in the middle of it.
Im a uge star ocean fan. The ps2 til the end of time i still own and play it now and again.I've beat that 4 times including the special bosses. But in this one i couldn't get into the story at all it felt plain im more thinking the acting more than anything and having to beat every enemy a certain amount of time was getting annoying so by the time i got to a boss it was never no challenge. So basically in the middle of the second disk i quit playing it and few months later i sold the game.

Star Ocean fan
I have been a star ocean fan from the beginning . The graphics are amazing. Some of the best I have ever seen .
Game play is easy to get the hang of.
I always purchase the guide.
Easy to lose track of time during game play . It's addicting.
As far as some complaining about the graphics... I have no idea what game they are playing because this is just amazing.
I have talked to a couple friends about the game and that they should pick up a copy.
This is one of my favorites.

Very good game!
The game was very good. The story was great and the real time combat was real fun and intense. The only bad thing of the game was the voice overs, almost all the characters had some kind of annoying voice but besides that there was awesome.

Great game.
Great game getting to fly in space to different planets. The thrill of new places and new enemies. The story line is good. Another great game from Square Enix.
