If you want to open your PS3, then you need a tamper resistant torx size 10 screwdriver to remove the first screw. After that, the rest of the screws require a standard phillips screwdriver. Won't open PS3 Slim.
I don't know if this screwdriver is perfect for the original PS3 or not. I don't have one.
Mine is a PS3 SLIM and this screwdriver is useless. I suspect a security T8 is what you need instead.

I gave it one star because the description is absolutely misleading, if it says PS3 you'd expect it to work for all PS3s across the board. I hope my 1-star review will catch your eye and will prevent you from running into the same mistake. If you have a PS3 Slim, look elsewhere.

For intended use it is perfect
Long story short. To open a PS3, you need a torx T-10 tamper proof/resistant screwdriver (at least if you're not worried about stripping the screw). This works perfectly.

The PS3 T-10 screw (at least for the older "fat" models (I don't know much about the newer slim models)) is recessed in a way that a standard short bit attachment isn't likely to reach.

This model screwdriver will work with virtually any torx T-10 screw (tamper proof/resistant or not).

Standard caveat: whether PS3 or other device, be sure that you're willing to void your warranty (if still in effect) and that you know what you're doing before you crack open expensive hardware.

Perfect for PS3
I am laughing because it is asking me how fun this game was, but it is a screwdriver. Anyway, the screwdriver worked perfectly on the Playstation 3, and it is needed if you are needing to open it up. The screwdriver is big enough not to hurt your hands, if you have big hands, and the end rotates, so you can rotate the the screwdriver while not taking your hand off of it. It was a great price for anyone in need of this tamper resistant screwdriver.

This will be short but sweet for those interested.I had to open my 60 gig ps3 for cleaning.I used this screwdriver and it worked great also the seller sent it promptly it was great buy and great product.That's about it
