Simply vacuum the floor to remove surface dust and dirt, then wrap a cleaning pad around the steamer's brush before operating to ensure gentle cleaning without damage to the carpet fibers. The pad absorbs dirt and debris loosened by the combination of pressure and steam from the cleaner. Repeat the process with a second, clean cloth for drying. These are horrible
I bought the Eureka Envirosteamer and these were recommended to buy along with it. First of all, they aren't even big enough to use with the Eureka steamer, and secondly, they look like I tore up old dish cloths and had my 3 yr old sew them together. Not even close to being worth almost $15!

Pads do not fit Eureka Enviro Steamer
These pads were advertisd for the Eureka Enviro Steamer, but they are not large enough to fit the machine and be secure.

Would have been better off going to auto zone and getting a few of their terry cloths that would come close to fitting the steamer. These are nothing like the ones u get with the machine itself... weak, thin, and probably won't last a month using them. I only gave a second star because they at least do pick up the dirt... but like I said, these things will be gone in a month.

Eureka Steam Mop #313A replacement cleaning pads
First of all, the Eureka Steam Mop 313A works wonderfully. I could not be happier with the mop.

However when I ordered and received the Eureka Steam Mop it came with two original equipment pads which are substantial and made from a heavy "waffle" material that is clearly designed to catch and trap dirt while cleaning the floor. I also had ordered two additional replacements pads that where suggested by Amazon.com. What I received for $20+ was two terry cloth rags in a plastic bad...clearly a rip-off and definitely not what came with the Eureka Steam Mop as original equipment.

I am sending the rags back to Amazon.com and suggest that you do not order these rags.

Very disappointed in Amazon.com for this misrepresentation.
