Works greatIt's a qwerty board... and it allows you to type messages over xbox live or whatever xbox live service you wish a whole lot faster then scrolling around with the joystick or the d-pad. It works fine, if you need to type faster then pick it up.

Having a QWERTY keypad helps with messaging and typing character names. Most of the time it just makes the controller heavy.

when this product arrived on store shelves I most definately had the "gotta get it" attitude towards it. First off, texting on xbox live is a breeze, and a headset is included! The chatpad will feel somewhat uncomfortable to those with small hands but it hasn't really bothered me. The design is pretty well thought out, with backlit keys and windows live messenger intrigration is ideal for those who use it on xbox (I being one) now the cons...the keys secondary functions can be confusing to figure out and I already pointed out it can be uncomfortable to use while playing a game. Other than that I can't think of anything else I don't like. With a black color on the way, the only choice you'll have to debate is the color!
Simple: If you text on Xbox, buy this product!
Really handy to have
I really do like having this on my controller so I can type properly to people. It really isn't in the way and I no longer have to tediously and slowly type on the screen. It's a bit hard to get on but it snaps right into place. It also has a hole so you can still plug in the headset.
