DRY PAK Belt PackCustomer Reviews
UsefullUsed this when at the beach in Central America, Held up well to keep my money and keys safe, even when surfing. Loved the strap and used it as a purse when hanging out at the beach in my bikini. Didn't use it for anything heavy, but was perfect for the beach bum backpacker.
Worked great
Bought it for Hawaii trip. Used it snorkeling and my son used it while surfing. Everything stayed completely dry, including the cell phone I put in it. While on the beach in Waikiki, I noticed that the lifeguards use the larger version to keep their radios dry.
Great Item!
This item was definitely worth it! Kept my most important items dry while I snorkeled on Roatan Island. Fits most important things, small camera, keys, money, id's, etc. I like the fact it ties around your waist vs. your neck. I highly recommend it for your next water adventure!
Lost at sea
I used this pack in Curacao while snorkeling. Had 2 driver's licenses, $40, and ships cards. The pack released from the carabiner clip and was lost. DON"T BUY IT!
Does what it's supposed to do!
I ordered this pouch to take on a couple of water and snorkeling excursions we had planned. The instructions recommend that you put some paper in it and put it underwater to test it before use. Our pouch passed the test with flying colors. As an added precaution, I threw in a couple of those silica gel packs you get in shoe boxes and luggage, etc. At no point were the gel packs ever activated. The bag has a tendency to float, which is great if you somehow drop it, but could conceivably cause an issue if you were planning to use it at measurable depths of water. Our excursions did not require much depth into the water (just a couple feet under) so this did not cause a problem for us. Other reviews have mentioned problems with the strap but we did not encounter any problems with the bag or the strap and will gladly use it next time we have a water trip planned.
